"Amy" (17 years old single – 10 weeks pregnant)

Amy came to us abortion vulnerable. Amy is presently out of work and scared about her pregnancy. Her parents are under a great deal of stress and she fears telling them as she fears they will kick her out. There are many things going on right now that played a large role in her wanting to abort. When she came in we reviewed her options, housing, state assistance etc. One of the local housing shelters has taken her application and is in the process of interviewing her. She is so excited. She realized there ARE options out there besides abortion. Amy and her boyfriend finally decided to parent their baby. The father of the baby told his parents and they took it much better than expected. We are excited to follow her throughout her pregnancy!
